2017 winner of Restoration Exchange's BUILDING PRESERVATION AWARD recognizing excellence in preservation, rehabilitation, or renovation of a commercial or multi-family property.
The former White Rose Service Station now occupied by Dundee Bank, a branch of Security State Bank, and designed by AO. Dicon was the general contractor.
Our Jury said:
“The project stands out for the difficulty in conversion from a former restaurant use to a commercial bank as well as the high integrity in repairing historic elements such as the windows and replacing elements that were removed such as the garage entries. The rehabilitation gives a much better sense of what the building was used for historically and gives customers a better sense of place. This project is a great example of successful small-scale commercial redevelopment.”
