The practice of pratyahara in yoga involves withdrawing from your senses and letting go of your attachment or avoidance towards whatever you perceive around you. As you release your senses, you are able to draw yourself inward and find the deep peace that exists there. Pratyahara is a practice and can take time to learn. This short meditation is intended as an introduction and exploration of your senses and what it might mean to withdraw from them. Pratyahara meditation is best done in a comfortable position in a peaceful environment if you are just beginning. However, feel free to explore this meditation in whatever circumstances you find yourself.
