We spend our Saturday exploring the beautiful waters of Homosassa Springs and Crystal River with family and friends — 7 airboats deep! 🐊🌴 From winding backwaters to hidden hangouts only airboats can reach, it’s a full day of Florida fun on the water.
We stop for a delicious lunch at Backwater Fins (13982 W Ozello Trail, Crystal River), then head to a private island where we enjoy a crab boil and a fire with the crew. Despite the outer weather bands from a hurricane off Florida’s east coast, the adventure continues — and the sights are worth it!
Along the way, we spot dolphins, birds, and other local wildlife, capturing all the beauty of the Nature Coast in this 45-minute airboating ride.
