Budget Subwoofer shootout, three 12" active subs by Sony, Sansui and DB Dynamics - who will win?

For more than 20 yrs I've been using a budget Sansui SW-120 a12" active sub in my home theatre setup. I recently acquired a DB Dynamics DBS-1200X and a Sony SA-W3000, both 12" active subs. All three are around the same performance, so I though I'd hammer them in a shootout all to see if budget active subs are created equal. They're not, and the results were a real surprise!
