Here's the first half of my conversation with Greg Zeschuk, a co-founder of BioWare who retired from the games industry in 2012. We talk about the practical reasons of why most game executives don't want to talk to the press and how that blocks meaningful progress for the culture, how as game productions have gotten more ambitious audiences understand less and less about how they're made, and the debacle and uproar over Mass Effect 3's ending. This conversation took place on January 30, 2015.
