Aquarium ideas from InterZoo 2014 (pt. 13) - EHEIM, Proxima tanks

Five EHEIM "Proxima" aquariums, displayed at InterZoo 2014. Proxima is a new aquarium set designed and manufactured by EHEIM, it is the next step after Incpiria aquarium set. Proxima has two versions, normal one, with cover, and "plus" version, without cover and with LED lamps. An innovation in Proxima is the use of aluminium in cabinets and covers.

00:18 - EHEIM Proxima 100x50x50. Plants used in this layout are Anubias nana, Anubias petite, Bolbitis heudelotii and Microsorum pteropus - classic set of plants for composition made mostly of driftwood.

01:47 - EHEIM Proxima 70x50x50 cm. Interesting "island" layout Plants used are Pogostemon helferi, Hemianthus callitrichoides and Blyxa japonica. Very good planting - the aquarium looks almost as if it was pregrown long time before the show.

03:02 - EHEIM Proxima plus 130x50x50 cm - open top version of Proxima, with LED illumination (40 Watts each fixture). Interesting biotope-like layout, with twigs reaching above the water surface. Plants used are mostly various Cryptocoryne and Anubias species, and some other, which I don't recognize (like the grass-like plant in the background - it's not Vallisneria; maybe Acorus sp.?). Please note the substrate, composed of sand and pebbles of various sizes - this is how a substrate looks in nature, especially in flowing waters. Plant flowating on the surface is Pistia stratiotes.

04:14 - EHEIM Proxima plus 70x50x50 cm. Interesting and original layout made of black slate rocks. Two species of plants are used in this layout - Glossostigma elatinoides amd Cladophora sp. (the latter is not a plant - it's an algae).

04:45 - EHEIM Proxima plus 100x50x50 cm. Very nice layout based on driftwood and ADA Dragon Stones. Plants used are Hemianthus callitrichoides, Eleocharis accicularis, and some sort of grass-like plant - maybe Blyxa japonica, but it's slightly too long, so I'm not sure if it's really Blyxa :)
