The hero team stays late on Wednesday and Thursday nights to get engines ready for sale. Daniel (MTH Certified ASC Tech) and Stephan work on 2nd hand Lionel and MTH engines that were purchased for re-sale. This means checking boards, smoke units, lights, couplers, etc to make sure all components are in proper working order. If older engines aren't checked out, buyers can certainly expect issues. We vet out all our used engines and refurbish them BEFORE they are sold. No other store does this. We want to make sure buyers are getting a reliable engine, this keeps our returns at almost 0%, and keeps buyers coming back for more when they know they are wont' get a lemon from when buying from Milepost 38!
