Goodbye Song for Pine Grove teachers 2024

Another school year done we made it to the end

And once again we have to say goodbye to some friends

I’m very proud of those of you who stuck around and are still here

Instead of packing your stuff leaving us high and dry mid-year

 

We hate to see you leave our school

But we know you’ll be alright

I hope you had the time of your life

 

Ms. Mitchell you came mid year to third grade

And we all thank you for whipping those kids into shape

We can’t thank you enough for all that you did

And you’re more than welcome back to teach these kids in 4th and 5th

Ms. L you came to my room and replaced me in 3rd grade

And I can only imagine what you found in those shelves in Open Space

The challenges came this year, the trials, and the strife

But through storms and struggles,

You made it through, you earned this next life

Ms. Thesen these past few years you’ve been our students guiding light

So many backgrounds to help to speak English right

From Morgan State to Peabody’s music carrying on

Your legacy will never be lost as you move to a new dawn

Ms. Ryan I know this year isn’t the year you originally planned

And no one knows how much of yourself that class demands

It takes a special person to face those challenges time after time

But we know you’ve made a difference in all those children’s lives

Mr. Manzo you came mid year to a class that was a zoo

You overcame the challenges and we’re all so proud of you

I loved teaching 4th grade with you and being a coworker and friend

Until Kristin said there’s no way in hell I can work with those two again

Mr. Dunn you started out having my son Sawyer in your class

And he just graduated I can’t believe the time’s gone so fast

Your gentle nature loving way is something we should all aspire to be

And you’re the only other man I know who loves cats as much as me

Ms. Frist, we both came to Pine Grove back in 1999

We were the youngest teachers at our school at that time

I’ll never forget when Brian proposed to you at lunch

And for the first 3 years here

I thought you were Marcia from The Brady Bunch
