INGREDIENTS
3 cups Rice flour
3 cups Water
Freshly grated coconut
Grated jaggery
½ tbsp Cardamom powder
Salt to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Heat water and add salt to taste.
2. Once the water comes to a boil put in the rice flour and mix well. Close the vessel and allow it to rest for 5 minutes.
3. Now pour this flour mixture into a bowl and knead to a soft dough while it is still warm.
4. Divide the dough into 2 parts and colour one part. This is optional.
5. Make small dented balls of the dough and drop it into boiling water and allow it to cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
6. Let the dough cool for a while and then put them into the Letri maker to form into Letri.
7. Serve Letri with grated coconut and jaggery. Add a dash of cardamom powder for flavour.
