Video shows a simple but very real part of student life in Bavaria: going out for a Friday night. Filmed from a first-person perspective, it follows my journey as I leave Passau, take the train to Deggendorf, enjoy a night of drinking with friends at the Eastern European Night event, and then travel back to Passau afterward. The goal of the video is to show the lifestyle of students in Germany—how we move between cities, how we spend our free time, and how a normal night out looks for many international and German students.
The video begins in Passau, where I start my trip. You see the typical student environment: backpacks, simple clothes, quick preparations, and the walk to the train station. From the very beginning, the viewer can feel the usual excitement of a Friday evening after a long week of studying.
When I arrive in Deggendorf, the atmosphere immediately changes. You see the streets filled with young people and the lively mood that appears every Friday night. The main event of the evening is the Eastern European Night, organized by students and known for its music, dancing, and friendly international crowd.
Throughout the night, the video also tries to capture the simple things that make student life special: walking from one place to another, talking with strangers, enjoying music, and just being young and free for a few hours.
After the party, the second part of the journey starts: the return back to Passau by train. This part of the video shows the tired but satisfied feeling after a long night out. You see the quiet streets of Deggendorf, the late-night train station, and the calm ride back. The contrast between the loud party and the silent train creates a realistic picture of how a typical night ends for many students living in Bavaria.
