In this video, I explore the world of vintage medium format cameras with two fantastic retro cameras: the Ilford Sporti from the 1960s and the Balda Baldix from the 1950s. Both cameras were new to me, and not knowing if they would still function, I took them to West Yorkshire Cameras in Leeds for some expert advice and to pick up Kentmere 400 black and white 120mm film. With the cameras loaded and ready to go, I set off on an adventure around York to test my skills shooting with medium format film.
This video documents my journey, from getting to grips with these classic film cameras to the results I achieved on Kentmere 400 film. Watch as I experiment with retro film photography and share the unique experience of shooting with such vintage gear.
