Canson Mi-Teintes Velvet VS Pastelmat paper comparison | Panda pastel drawing

In this tutorial I'll be testing the new Canson Mi-Teintes Velvet paper and comparing it to Pastelmat. Drawing the same Panda on both papers with all of the same techniques, really gave me the chance to put the Canson Velvet paper to the test. I'll try PanPastels, pastel pencil, blending and pencil techniques exactly as I would if working on Pastelmat and each is demonstrated in this side by side comparison review.

Is this paper as good as Pastelmat? That's what I wanted to find out.
