This is the point where I like to talk a little about why I like this game. As per usual if you have a story about why you like this game please leave it in the comments below. I would love to read about it. This is one Spyro game that I personally never liked for many years. Basically since I heard of it. I have always been a fan of the purple dragon. Since the PlayStation 1 (PS1) days. I initally played this game in the GameCube (GCN)a long time ago and hated it. The frame rate was horrible and I don't think I ever left the main area. Even recently I attempted to play it on the GameCube and I turned it off after just a few minutes. Maybe it was morbid curiosity or the fact that I love a bad (good) game. But, like a fool I loaded up the PS2 version. Now to be fair this game has about a 48/100 for the GameCube and a 56/100 for the PS2. It's not to loved by the general public. But, after playing all the way through I can say. This game is not as bad as I thought it was. This game really does have it's moments. There certainly is slow down and moments that lag. But, the game is playable and honestly quite enjoyable. There is a really fun glitch you can do to complete the game in less than 5 minutes. Which is also really cool. In fact I was even able to pull it off too which proves how easy it is. Now, my big complaint with the game is two main things. 1) gem collecting is very difficult with Sparx (the little dragonfly who is supposed to help you collect the gems) not really picking them up all to well. Lots of times flat out missing them making me go back and collect what I can. 2) you need to 100% the game to see the final cutscene. I think that making anyone 100% the game is already bad enough. In fact. They lock the three-stages of the boss fights behind progression check points. Personally I found that to be really annoying. In other Spyro games beating the game nets you the ending and then getting everything 100% (which I normally love doing in Spyro game) give you a bonus area to explore, or something. Everything except the first three Spyro games basically get no attention in the modern day, which is really sad. This game could be a fun way to "scratch that Spyro itch" if you are looking for the next game to play in the series. Sadly, it's almost a 100% chance that you will have to play it on older console. Which can be a little pricy. It's honestly not a bad game. If you are looking to continue your time with the purple dragon. Give this game a shot.
Thank you so very much for watching this video. It means so much to me that you're here and spending time with me. I love playing these game and I love sharing them with you. I truly hope you enjoy this. Please make sure you are spending time doing the things you love. Even the smallest things can help you take a load off. It's important not to over do it and drain your batteries. Make sure to spend a little time on yourself too. You wont regret it. Until we meet again. Stay safe.
