No time to dwell on the MOT failure - there's work to be done AND a new strategy to make sure it gets through next time. The brakes need an entire overall and then there's emissions issue - without the proper equipment to test it I need to cover all the basis - new filters, fresh fuel, some basic engine tuning and also running the engine as much as possible to nurse it back to health. While doing that I've also discovered a leaking oil cooler which needed to be dealt with and while I wait for parts I'm also chewing through the snag list in my spare time. I've decided to get my local garage to help with the headlamps and wheel alignment so with the engine and brakes now nearing completion the rush is on (again) to get everything buttoned down for another attempt at that elusive MOT.
