Complete walkthrough of this Whipple supercharged 1968 F100 Designer Series build, then we take it out to show you how it drives. This truck runs a Gen 3 Coyote with a 3.0L Whipple supercharger and a 6-speed manual, and we'll break down exactly how we made it handle and perform like a supercharged Mustang.

We call this one "Stark" because of the Iron Man-inspired color scheme—custom deep burgundy pearl that shifts in different light, paired with Cerakoted bronze accents throughout. The interior is one of our premium FFG interior kits with Apex leather in a bronze distressed finish—everything from the seats to the door panels is designed to work together as a complete package you can order color-matched for your build.

But the real story is how everything under this truck works together as a complete system. The chassis, power steering rack, exhaust routing, header clearance, and suspension geometry are all designed to work as one unit, not just mixing parts and hoping they fit.

Jason walks through the Mustang-inspired design details (hood vents, side scoops tucked into the bed, hex vents), explains why we run a 3.0L Whipple instead of the bigger 3.8L, and breaks down the steering setup that gives this F100 direct, responsive handling. Then we take it out to prove it—tight steering feel, brakes that stop on a dime, and power delivery that gets down.

This started life as a 4x4 F100 that we converted to 2WD, dropped low, and built for a customer in New York. This truck debuted at SEMA 2024 in the DNA Motoring booth and came back to us for some small warranty work, which gave us the chance to film this full feature.

The difference between a truck that drives okay and one that drives like a modern performance car comes down to how the parts work together. A cheap power steering rack with too many heim joints gives you slop. Headers that don't account for steering linkage clearance force compromises. We design everything—chassis, steering, exhaust, suspension—as one integrated system so you get the tight, responsive feel of a GT car in a classic F100 body.
