Permaculture is a design system many folks use to create bountiful organic gardens. It's also a philosophy for creating resilient communities. And yet, it's more than both of these things.
At the core of permaculture design is a set of 12 guiding principles. I've been practicing permaculture for more than 20 years, so what exactly do those 12 principles mean to me now? Let's break them down quickly and explore their meanings and how we can use them to create beautiful, productive gardens and sustainable ways of living.
