Alaa Al-Siddiq: A legacy that lives on and continues to inspire

Emirati human rights defender Alaa Al-Siddiq tragically passed away on 19 June 2021, the day after her 33rd birthday.

Alaa’s death has left a huge void in the hearts of the many whose lives she touched, but her immense legacy lives on, and continues to inspire.

We must all help to continue her vital human rights work, including by defending prisoners of conscience around the world, in the Gulf, and the UAE, foremost among them her father Mohammed Al-Siddiq.
