Stop-Motion Transformation of Devil Saviour DS-06 Sweeping. A very sturdy final leg. I’d like to think that part of the inspiration for the name was The Karate Kid (“Sweep the leg Johnny!”) Only one more item to go at this point (the right arm) and we can have a supercut for the whole group afterwards so they can join together.

Production Note: I totally forgot about those little turrets after I removed them initially from the vehicle. The main place they go in robot and leg mode is a set of hex holes near the waist. Also, if you’re curious, I totally cheated and folded that monopod right back up when I did the arms so that it would be stable. If it’s off-camera it doesn’t exist!

If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using your , and . keyboard keys to advance by single frames. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.
