Look back, 50 years, at Cumulus, a quirky 24-foot sailboat, I purchased in 1974. Many viewers requested more information about her history. I describe her purchase, a tricky first launch and a fraught first passage from Portland Harbour to the river Hamble via Lulworth Cove and Newtown Creek. Sharing old photos of our sailing UK adventures. She was an important part of my early boat life. Cruising along the South Coast of the UK and across the channel to Guernsey in this little sailboat were important parts of my yachting journey that eventually led to me buying and cruising in my current sailing yacht Zephyr IV.
