Each year, the Potters' Guild of Las Cruces works with El Caldito Soup Kitchen to host Empty Bowls, a fundraiser for El Caldito. Local potters create over a thousand bowls for the event. Attendees choose a special hand-made bowl to take home to remind them of the hungry in the Mesilla Valley, then enjoy a meal of soup and bread donated by local restaurants.
