Alpha1 Mercruiser New shift Cable and Bellows - Part 3 Finish Install and Adjust Cable

This is the third of three videos on changing the shift cable bellows on my Mercruiser. I finish routing the cable, install the cable end hardware, adjust the intermediate outdrive cable, and adjust the shift cable to the helm.

To change the bellows, you must remove the shift cable, so while it is out, I am replacing it to correct some shifting issues that I have with the old one. This is an Alpha 1 Gen 2 Mercruiser with a 4.5 V6 in a 21' 2018 Chaparral Ski and Fish. It without warning developed a large leak that ended my boating season last fall, so over the winter I am trying to change it. I did replace all the bellows in my 1998 Chaparral 5.0 Mercruiser last winter. This is a less difficult job, but still very challenging.
