🏝My First Time in Jaco, Costa Rica as a Solo 🙋🏻‍♀️Female Traveler 🧳

Come with me as I share with you all of my tips about how to get to Jaco, Costa Rica, where to stay, what to eat, and how to navigate the city from the eyes of a solo female traveler! Costa Rica is the first stop on my journey of traveling solo for 2 months through Latin America and I’m excited to share my two weeks there with you!

How did I get there? - I reached out to my FB Costa Rica travelers group (Costa Rica Travel Information & Tips) and they shared some options with me & I ended up choosing to do a Shuttle service called Caribe Shuttle from San Jose to Jaco.
***Be weary of motion sickness!

Lodging: Oceano Boutique Hotel & Gallery [include video footage of hotel]

Safety: 3.5, be careful at night

Food: Touristy area so there are lots of Westernized food (i.e. Food Walk), but if you look off the main road you’ll find some really great local food that is inexpensive, delicious, and still takes credit cards!

Activities I did:
morning walk on the beach (2.5 miles)
Watch sunset on the beach!
Stroll the main road of Jaco (explore shops, restaurants, etc.)
Went on a horseback riding tour to go up El Miro (Airbnb Experience)
Went to the hotel pool

*Additional activities to try:
Zip lining
Driving down to Manuel Antonio for their nature experience (1 hr from Jaco)
