THE DOLOMITES: The Best Easy to Moderate Hikes in the Italian Alps!

The Dolomites in Italy, the Italian Alps, are some of the most beautiful and majestic mountains we’ve ever seen. While it’s popular to go on multiday treks in the summer and to engage in snow sports in the winter (as one of the sites of the 2026 Winter Olympics), Cortina d’Ampezzo makes a great base to explore these wonderful mountains with easy to moderate day hikes in the fall! In this video, we bring you along as we enjoy some of our favorite spots in a week that we spent in these amazing mountains. Note that since we do work and travel simultaneously, most of these hikes were not full-day hikes (most were a few hours up to half a day), so you could conceivably combine some of these hikes or go on more strenuous hikes as well, depending on the weather, your availability, and your fitness level!
