What is the sound of an island? The sound of the sea, the mountains—and the people.
“Kanatal” means “island” in the Amis language, and is the name of a band from Taiwan.

An all-Indigenous band that blends traditional music from their tribes with world music, Kanatal finds inspiration and truth in their own multi-ethnic backgrounds, creating harmonies that boldly breaks barriers on multiple levels.

「島嶼」的聲音是什麼呢？是海、是山，也是人的聲音。
「Kanatal」在阿美族語中是「島嶼」的意思，也是一個來自台灣、全新創立的原住民樂團團名。

今年夏天，Kanatal首次正式亮相，即在加拿大巡迴演出。他們帶著多元族裔的身分相互碰撞、交融，從國際的視角，回頭檢視個人的族裔根源，在逐步探索的過程中，發掘和世界對話的故事。
