Film Criticism vs Film Grifting: Where Can You Truly Draw The Line?

So this month marks the fourth month of me having started my video series "Hunting Griftly Bears" debunking different grifters and bad faith criticisms of media. It all started back with my video on how Anti Woke Film Criticism is NOT Real Criticism, which, in turn, was spawned from a frustration of mine of seeing people who didn't seem to really understand how to describe why a film project, or a television show or game, that they may have been looking forward to, might have failed beyond just calling it "woke". One of the biggest questions I've been asked since starting this series, is what exactly can be defined as a grifter, and where can we find good faith criticism. Being someone who very passionate about film and understanding how to analyze it, this is something I've chosen to lay out today, a big memo on what grifting REALLY looks like, and how to spot it before it spreads.
