Scotsman In The Valley: 60103 'Flying Scotsman' on The Severn Valley Railway - 25/07/2025

After almost six months since the last trains ran into Bridgnorth following a landslip at the start of the year. Friday 25th July saw the first passenger hauled train to run the full length of the Severn Valley Railway from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth, and what better locomotive to mark the occasion than sole surviving LNER A3 Pacific no.60103 'Flying Scotsman'.

We kick things off at Northwood Lane, where 60103 & 20142 are captured as they power away from Bewdley with the 9:00am train to Bridgnorth. Our second shot takes us to Eardington Halt, where we capture 60103 as she trundles through tender first with the return journey for Kidderminster.

Our next shot takes us onto Eardington Bank where 60103 & 20142 are captured powering up the gradient with the second train of the day to Bridgnorth. Our final shot takes us into Bridgnorth, where we capture 60103 as she struggles to depart Bridgnorth with a train for Kidderminster.
