The Children of Inmates uses an innovative approach to interrupt intergenerational incarceration by working with Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) to identify children with incarcerated parents and provide wraparound case management and family reunification services.

About 300,00 children in Florida have a parent incarcerated in prison or jail. These children face three times the risk of mental illness, thus have a greater propensity for interaction with criminal justice system themselves.
