The Peaky Blinders are a criminal organization, which passed through the city of Birmingham, England, in 1919, formed several months after the end of the First World War (1914–1918). The story centers on the ambition of the English gang leader, Thomas "Tommy" Shelby (Cillian Murphy).

According to information from Cilliam Murphy, during the first season he smoked around 1,000 cigarettes totaling 3,000 between the first and second season (the Independent said). However, all of them were free of harmful substances like nicotine and also tobacco.

They were made with a mixture of herbs allowing them to be used without major damage to the health of the actors. Another curiosity is that the whiskey was also not real. It is just colored water with the same hue as the original drink.
