Hundreds march through San Antonio to protest Trump and Musk

Hundreds of people marched through downtown San Antonio on Saturday in a protest against President Donald Trump and the federal spending cuts, layoffs, sweeping tariffs and other actions that have marked the early months of his second term.⁠

Many of the marchers carried signs demanding that Trump keep his “hands off” various programs, constituencies and institutions: veterans’ benefits, science, the Constitution, women’s rights, transgender children and “our democracy,” among others.⁠

Some held American flags, along with signs criticizing tech billionaire Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency, which he leads.⁠

The protest was part of a national movement with demonstrations around the country.⁠
