In this breathtaking journey deep into the mountains of Iran, we follow a true nomadic family as they risk their lives to gather Chavil, the precious wild herb that becomes essential winter goat feed.
From the doorway of their simple nomadic home, the brave nomad man, his two hard-working sisters, and their loyal donkey begin a dangerous climb through narrow valleys, sharp cliffs, and steep rocky paths that only real Iranian nomads dare to cross.

This is not just a walk in the mountains — it is a fight against nature.
Every step on the cliffs can be deadly.
Every move requires strength, courage, and teamwork.

With a sickle in hand, they stand on the edge of the cliffs, cutting the tough Chavil plants under the blazing sun and strong winds. Their hands become tired, their clothes covered in dust, but their spirit never stops. They load the heavy bundles onto the donkey and begin the long and risky journey back home.

Back at the camp, the nomad family uses the fresh Ozan leaves to build shade for their tent, while the rest of the Chavil becomes valuable winter food for their goats — food that can save their animals during the cold, harsh months of snow and wind.
