Malfunction at Railcam Crossing

July 2, 2025 ... A very hot day with a temperature over 100 degrees Farenheit (ca. 40C°).
In video #328 you can watch a complete overview of a 2.5 hour malfunction, at the (Railcam) Crossing.
The cause was probably, what we call in the Netherlands a: "TOBS storing" (Incorrectly Occupied Track). The detection tracks detect a train. This causes level crossings to be incorrectly triggered, and the gates remain closed.
It is not known whether the high temperature was partly responsible for this annoying problem...
Meanwhile, there are people for minutes standing in the blazing sun. At a closed crossing isn't that exactly pleasant. Everyone quickly tried to get out of the sun, or they hurriedly looked for another safe route to his/her destination.
Unfortunately, this didn't apply to the emergency services present. They remained on standby and did their best to safely divert all traffic. At least someone has to keep a cool head. So a big thank you to everyone who helped out on this hot afternoon!
