Replacing a thermostat in a 8th gen Maxima. Check engine light came on with code: P0128, faulty thermostat. Sorry that our video is not as step-by-step as I know you would've like it to be, our third camerman was not available today. We had to figure everything out ourselves. My brother Frank, really figured out how to remove the power steering assembly to get to the thermostat. EVERYTHING'S a tight fit!!! Even after removing the power steering assembly, it was still difficult to get to the bolts of the thermostat housing. Had to be done by "feel" cuz you can't see shit. Any questions at all, please ask. The end result: mission accomplished. After replacing the t-stat, we cleared the check engine light with an OBII scanner that I bought from Amazon for $13. It's worth mentioning that unplugging the negative cable in the battery terminal for however minutes DID NOT CLEAR IT. Somehow someway, the car is too smart!
