RAJASTHAN Series EP #22: Spending a day in Jaipur, ft. Jaipur Metro ride, Trainspotting & Hawa Mahal

Hi Friends,

I present to you, the twenty second vlog of the Rajasthan 2023 series. After reaching Jaipur by Ranthambore Superfast Express in the previous vlog, Hitesh and I went looking for some accommodation, and found one in Sindhi Camp, right next to the bus stand, and in front of the metro station. After checking in, I went to get a haircut and shave, while Hitesh left to meet a few of his friends.

After freshening up, I went to have some lunch, and explored the RSRTC bus stand in Jaipur, where I could spot buses from a number of north Indian RTCs, like Haryana Roadways, Punjab Roadways, Himachal Roadways, UP Roadways, JKSRTC, Uttarakhand Roadways, and of course, the local RSRTC was aplenty.

Then I went back to the room, waited for Hitesh to come back before heading out to take a ride on board the Jaipur metro. Initially I went towards Badi Chaupar, which is adjacent to the Hawa Mahal. After spending some time there savouring khullad chai, and clicking pics, I took the metro back to the other end - Manasarovar. It was already dark, so I didn't spend much time there, and returned to my room, but not before spending some time at Railway station metro.

I did some trainspotting from that height, and could spot two regular train movements - the Ala Hazrat Express towards Bhuj, and the Jaipur Chennai Superfast Express departing, apart from this, a shunting movement was also seen. After this, I went back to the room, as we had to sleep early, since it was an early flight for us the next morning on the first day of the year, we were to return home from this trip, a flight journey to Namma Bengaluru, and that's where this series will conclude.
