Shadow work - Chikankari is a rich tradition. White Chikankari with Gota work adds a beautiful and elegant combination. Chikankari Net adds a very delicate and beautiful look to this Embroidery motif.
Gota work also known as 'Gota Patti' is used in rich ethnic traditional Indian embroidery. It is an applique technique where small cut pieces of zari is applied on the fabric and the edges are embroidered to create beautiful patterns / designs.
This is my all time favorite for ethnic occasions. This design can be easily done on necklines, panels, all over and even borders.
Stitches - Herringbone stitch, Stem stitch, Buttonhole stitch, Chain stitch, Pistil stitch, French knot, Back stitch and cross stitch.
