As a woodworker, it's a unique, wonderful thing to get the opportunity to take part in the whole process, starting with a living tree, taking it down, and turning it into a beautiful, useful object- a chair! Green woodworking, using an axe, froe, and drawknife to shape the wood, carving the seat, spokeshaving the spindles, a lot of this process happens at the shavehorse, a special bench that clamps the material as we work it down.
