June 27 2023 would have been Gun Club founder Jeffrey Lee Pierce's 65th birthday. Since there is only a partial version of this up on youtube, I decided to digitize this single that came free with his only solo album "Wildweed" titled "Open the Door Osiris/The Fertility Goddess/Portrait of the Artist in Hell b/w Chris and Maggie Meet Blind Willie McTell at a James Brown Concert". After digitizing this, I pulled some samples from it and had a little communion with JLP, on his birthday from another time in another place. HBD JLP.
