Today we have come to the Linga Bhairavi Temple in Basundhara, Kathmandu. The path on the right is the temple of the goddess behind the Hems showroom on the left when coming from Gangabu Bus Park. On the left side, if you come from Maharajgunj, Basundhara, just across Omoda, the temple of Linga Bhairavi Devi is on the right. The temple is located 2.6 kilometers from Gangabu Bus Park, and it takes about 7 minutes to reach the temple by vehicle. The temple is located 400 meters from Basundhara Chowk, and it takes about two minutes to reach the temple on foot. If you are coming here by public transport, it is easier to get off at Basundhara Chowk. We enter the Linga Bhairavi Devi Temple. When entering the temple, we have to leave our shoes, slippers, and bike helmets in the shoe storage area. The temple of the goddess is located within 50 meters. Upon entering the gate, boards placed on the right and left of the gate provide complete information about the programs held inside this temple. As you head towards the temple, there is a Shivalinga and a snake statue on the left. At the same place, a large metal vessel made of copper containing water and flowers, which is usually found in front of the temple, is also kept. Similarly, after going a little further, on the right side, there is a shop selling puja materials for worshipping the goddess. A little further ahead, on the right side, in the corner, there is also a shop selling books, photos of the goddess, and clothes. In front of the Linga Bhairavi Temple, there is a statue of Shri Ganeshji, a place to tie the Defense rope, and a place to light a lamp. To the right of the Linga Bhairavi Temple is a giant half-statue of Adiyogi Shiva, and taking any photos or videos inside the temple is prohibited. Linga Bhairavi Temple, located in Basundhara, Kathmandu, is a beautiful and peaceful place dedicated to the powerful Mother Goddess. Linga Bhairavi Temple, inaugurated on Chaitra 22, 2079 BS, i.e. April 5, 2023, this temple features traditional Nepali pagoda-style architecture and a unique statue of mercury, a symbol of balance and energy. Daily worship is held at this temple three times a day, at 7:40 AM, 12:40 PM, and 7:40 PM. In this temple, special pujas are held on Fridays, and there is a lot of movement of devotees along with the singing of hymns and kirtan. Which creates a peaceful and spiritual environment. The main Linga Bhairavi Devi Temple consecrated by Sadhguru is located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, while the second and first Linga Bhairavi Temple in Nepal is located in Basundhara, Kathmandu.
