Turns out a new genuine black tool cover from honda is under 20 quid. And doesn't have the weird texture. So I've ordered one. I think the
said panel has been replaced or resprayed at some point as it should be smooth like all the other panels regardless of the colour. Well I guess u can use all the paints for future projects. At least the exhaust cover came out nice. xxx
