Hello, and welcome to the Independent Music Minute, I'm Peter Neuman. A question I've been getting a lot from a lot of different musicians lately is "What's the fastest way to grow you list of fans?" Well, the easiest and most simple way to grow your list of fans is to give your fans something of value in exchange for their contact information. The easiest way to do this is get some guitar picks with your band name printed on them and when your fans come out to your gigs, just give them a free guitar pick in exchange for their email address. I just use a notebook, have them write down their name and email address. Then, that way you can contact them in the future when you've got stuff going on with your band or when you have another gig coming up. If you also have some CD's or some t-shirts you could give that away in exchange for their contact information as well. This has been the Independent Music Minute.
