It was a profoundly moving experience and deep honor to welcome the legendary Jimmie Dale Gilmore to KXCI in the summer of 2024. Jimmie stopped by to play a few songs and chat with host Hannah Levin prior to performing with his longtime friend and creative collaborator Dave Alvin at the Rialto Theatre in Tucson that evening.
Here he shares some sweet context before playing the song "Borderland" from Texacali, his 2024 record with Dave Alvin and The Guilty Ones.
