Nang tumanggi si Goku na sumali, kinidnap ni Raditz si Gohan, na pinilit si Goku na makipagtambal kay Piccolo upang talunin siya. Ang alamat ay nagtapos sa pagkamatay ni Goku at ang paghahayag ng dalawang mas malalakas na Saiyan, sina Vegeta at Nappa, sa kanilang pagpunta sa Earth.
