Without doubt this Scalextric Jaguar XJ220 is the most detailed and technically advanced car we have reviewed so far. From its body detail through to the lighting system it stands head and shoulders above the others. From a driving perspective its different, not in a bad way, but you have to make sure that when you give full throttle the car is in a straight line, if not you risk losing the tail. You must also make sure you are on the brakes in enough time for the corners otherwise the front will ride up the slot and you'll de-slot. But get those two items right and your rewarded with a very nice drive of a long heavy car that feels planted.
So focused was I on the race cars I forgot to mention the road going versions of this car.

For our review we look at the styling and the design features of the car along with a track test running Scalextric Arc Pro powerbase in Analogue mode on Scalextric Sport Track.
The tyres are original but have been prepared using the techniques shown in this instructive Tyre / Tire preparation and treatment video.
