'Meet The Artist' (No:36) | Sarah Hibbert | Modern Quilter

Sarah’s eye-catching ‘Macaroons’ Quilt features on The Festival of Quilts 2020/21 posters. Her beautiful ‘Collage to Quilt’ pieces are based on a collection of paper collages she has designed. Working very much with linen, Sarah contrasts her plain neutral colours with colourful abstract prints, many by Japanese designers, for their striking impact & depth of colour. Sarah’s ‘Haiku’ quilt, was selected for the first Vlieseline Fine Art Textiles Award in 2019. The Quilters’ Guild acquired ‘Refections’, in 2019, as one of two modern quilts into their Permanent Collection.
