This update brings NI LabVIEW closer to feature parity with .NET Framework by enabling developers to register and respond to events fired from .NET Core assemblies—such as file system changes—directly within NI LabVIEW. Using the new “Register for Event Callback” node, you can now wire up NI LabVIEW VIs to respond to .NET Core events like file creation, deletion, or modification, making it easier to build reactive, event-driven applications. The callback VIs are automatically generated with the correct prototype, allowing seamless integration with .NET Core’s event model. This feature is especially useful for developers working in hybrid environments where NI LabVIEW needs to interact with modern .NET-based systems.
