Life in the Spirit makes us a true family, and families take responsibility for one another. In Galatians 6:1–5, Paul calls the church to (1) gently restore the wayward, (2) humbly shoulder heavy burdens, and (3) faithfully carry our own load before God. This is the “law of Christ”—love shaped by Jesus’ self-giving at the cross. Because Christ has borne our heaviest burden, our sin, we are freed and empowered by the Spirit to bear with one another in practical, everyday ways.
