中大承蒙香港賽馬會慈善信託基金慨允捐贈港幣13億元，以發展全港首間非牟利及自負盈虧之教學醫院，達致服務巿民及提升大學教研水平的理想，開拓嶄新的醫護服務模式。
CUHK receives HK$1.3 billion from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust for the development of the territory’s first not-for-profit and self-financed teaching hospital. This is the largest single donation ever made by HKJC, and is also the greatest single donation ever received by CUHK.
