Our video is a guided walk in the Ribble Valley of Lancashire where J.R.R. Tolkien got his inspiration for his books "Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit".We start from Hurst Green and follow the River Ribble and River Hodder. We pass Hacking Hall (Brandy Hall) family home of Merry Brandybuck, one of Frodo's companions. We visit Cromwell's Bridge (Brandywine Bridge) and then on to Stonyhurst College. Allow 2 hours for this easy, flat 6 mile walk. The scenery is outstanding.
