On my first two visits to Siargao, I never really understood why people have been moving in and coming back to the island. I thought it was just another trend that would eventually die down.
But this trip - with the perfect weather & great company making the best memories - gave me a glimpse of what living is like in an island with a closely knit community that will you nearer to your roots: nature.
I'm also so glad we were able to squeeze in a trip to Butuan along our route to get to Siargao, and finally see my brother and his family again after the peak of the pandemic. I've missed my nephews & niece so much and I can't even put into words how grateful I was for the hours I got to spend with them.
