Todd Ablett and I built our first Tethered Electric Airplanes at BCIT, as students, about 25 years ago. Since then we have used the project with our students many times, and had many requests about how the project comes together. This video is hardly a comprehensive summary of the many ways you can build an airplane with your students, but it does highlight some of the observations and advances that we have found. Feel free to take these ideas and make them your own, to work with your students!
