Cpt.8.6 - Split to Action - The Adventures of the Windswift, D&D 5th Ed.

The crew of the Windswift stand on the precipice of their final mission: the assault on Sector 13. They have just killed their old enemy, Archon Kuphet, freed his prisoners and taken his ship, and now they hope that it will somehow give them a way into the secretive headquarters of the old Hastari order.

What awaits them inside is another matter: powerful defenses at the least, actual dragons at the worst.

Meanwhile, Con has reasons to worry about about the Windswift's most powerful ally: the Oak-kin, leader of the druids. He has become obsessed with one of the incredibly powerful books of Tal and risks madness and death as a result. Three of the other books are in the hands of the ship's wizard, Adru'sai, who has had strange encounters with entities inside who promised knowledge of the very fabric of the universe: both to change it and to destroy it completely.
Sekhet and Jorek work to make the crew ready for the attack, while the assassin Atramentum's mind is elsewhere, thinking about his daughter imprisoned by the Cabals half a world away.

As time runs out for our heroes it also does for the world around them, and it is becoming apparent that its fate - be it salvation or subjugation - is in their hands.
